Discover how Redbot’s rain system randomly distributes bits to OG community members — no wager requirements, no need to be online.
Redbot rain functions similarly to Shiba’s native rain features, but with some unique twists. Instead of requiring users to be active or meet certain wager thresholds, Redbot picks from a curated list of OG users — people deemed legitimate, positive contributors to the community. Here are the key differences:
In addition to manual rain events, Redbot also maintains a drop pool. As people wager on Redbot, this pool grows. Once it reaches 1,000 bits, it’s automatically “dropped” on 10 OG users. The eligibility requirements for drops and rain are effectively the same, except:
If you’d like to see your standing, you can use the $eligible
command, and to check the drop pool status itself, use $drop
. For details on the drop blacklist, try $blacklist
.
Anyone can trigger a rain event using $rain <number of players> <amount per player>
. Redbot will then distribute the specified bits randomly among that many OG chatters.
This means if you want to treat the community to some extra bits or run a personal giveaway, you can do so in a fair, random way. It’s simple, transparent, and (most importantly) fun!
